ORION TECHNIK MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING has been awarded a three years maintenance contract by the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) for the Swedish Air Force (SwAF) C-130H propellers, following an international bidding process. This multi-year contract to support the SwAF´s C-130H Hercules, includes additional engineering & technical support services on F7 Sätenas Air Base, home of the Swedish Hercules fleet. Depot level maintenance will be performed at AEROHÉLICE & ORION TECHNIK Joint Venture maintenance facilities near Lisbon, Portugal. This contract extends ORION TECHNIK´s already existing support to the Swedish Air Force C-130 fleet, with whom a C-130 components maintenance contract is active since it’s award in 2020. The C-130 Hercules model is a four-engine turboprop military multi-role aircraft and is the main tactical airlifter for many military forces worldwide. The C-130s entered service in 1956 and during its years of service, the Hercules has participated in numerous military campaigns, civilian and humanitarian aid operations, to name a few of the uses of this amazingly versatile aircraft. ORION TECHNIK has developed extensive capabilities in the C-130 platform for many years and has an in-depth working knowledge of the aircraft and systems maintenance requirements. Having been awarded these contracts by the SwAF is further prooves our unwavering commitment in supporting the worldwide operators of the C-130, as well as other platforms.
